ABOUT PETE MINALL
Pete Minall is a dynamic storyteller whose creative journey spans rock and roll photography, technical theatre, and historical fiction.
In the 1970s, he photographed legendary bands like the Who and Led Zeppelin as a rock photographer, capturing the raw spirit of live music and backstage life.
His visual instincts later found a new stage - literally - as Chief Electrician at the Theatre Royal, Bath. He lit up productions such as The Hobbit, The Hollow Crown and Last of the Red Hot Lovers with Tom Conti, as well as concerts by Steeleye Span, Sir John Mills, Sir Peter Ustinov, and Rick Wakeman.

Coming from a small Somerset village and now living in Bodmin he never dreamt he would end up working in films and on TV shows like Doc Martin, Delicious, Beyond Paradise and even singing in Fisherman’s Friends.

Now in his fourth career as a writer, Minall draws on decades of storytelling experience to craft richly atmospheric novels. His titles include The Spy, The Dwarf & The Mongol, and Doyle and Wells, and his latest, Buffalo Bill and the Beast of Bodmin. Each book blends historical intrigue with folklore and mystery, often set against the haunting backdrop of Cornwall.

Whether behind a camera, beneath the stage lights, or at the writer’s desk, Pete Minall brings a lifetime of creative energy to his work. His stories are vivid, theatrical, and steeped in the strange corners of history - perfect for readers who love myth, suspense, and adventure.
